The OneStart Co-founder Hub gives you the chance to build your perfect team or join a biotech startup.

All teams are advised to browse this hub to complement their teams with co-founders. One of our judging criteria will be the breadth of expertise within your team.

If you do not have an idea of your own, but experience or skills that would be useful to a bio-entrepreneur, register now as a co-founder. Our goal is to link people with ideas with those who can help them realise it.

Brief intro
It was a passion for seeing technology and engineering solve problems that drove me towards studying biomedical engineering as an undergrad. While spending the last seven years in military service, I saw how simple solutions solved real world problems. Additionally, I learned how to achieve goals, which are not always quantifiable, by leveraging the strengths and talents of individual contributors. I am now a graduate student, pursuing degrees in business administration and public health. I'm most passionate about improving on a solution to neonatal jaundice using phototherapy by creating a simply designed product, helping lower costs and make treatment more widely available.

Brief intro
I'm a biologist with a strong background in molecular biology and zebrafish genetics. I have worked in chemical screening in zebrafish and my phD was focused in fin regeneration growth control. I believe biotech entrepreneurship is key for the development of novel therapies, not only because of the ideas themselves, but also because the motivation and team spirit involved in creating something new lead to the advance of science.

Brief intro
I have been trained in physics and I want to get into biotech - intriguing! Well, it's always pleasure to do physics, but what brings a little more pleasure and a sense of pride is - "This is what I have built-up using physics and yes, it can solve your problems". Exactly, this is the reason I want to get into entrepreneurship. Biotech attracts me because this is one way of making science reach to the masses and for a good reason.

I have specialised in optics and have been working on it for around 8 years now. I have fairly good understanding of optics and use of light as a probe. Last year, we (I and two of my teammates) have come up with a design (algorithm is in the test phase), for a device that is expected to raise an early alarm in case of MI, commonly known as heart-attack.

I have a background (BA, MEng) in chemical engineering and biotechnology. I am currently pursuing a PhD in biophysics focusing on:
-developing biological photovoltaic cells for cheap renewable energy generation;
-building state-of-the-art tools for studying and characterising proteins
-developing early stage diagnostics and treatments for neurodegenerative diseases
I am using microfluidics and microdroplets (single cell studies) as a research tool among biophysical tools.

I am interested in technology development, biotechnology, microfluidics, novel sensing approaches, soft-robotics, energy generation, distribution and efficiency, data science, geopolitics etc.

I am a translational scientist, working on generating liver cells from stem cells. In part of my PhD project I am translating liver protocol in GMP (good manufacturing protocol) for future clinical trial.
Before starting PhD, I worked for 3 years as RA managing HIPSCs core facility in Cambridge University. HIPSCs are stem cells from adult tissue, in easy words I can take cells from your skin or blood and custom made stem cells for you. The work involved generation of iPSc for client lab, finishing on time, invoicing and maintenance of account etc. This was equivalent to running a small business.
As a cofounder I can bring my scientific and also my entrepreneur skills to your team. We could also discuss idea which I have (though I am sure about it).
