The OneStart Co-founder Hub gives you the chance to build your perfect team or join a biotech startup.

All teams are advised to browse this hub to complement their teams with co-founders. One of our judging criteria will be the breadth of expertise within your team.

PhD in organic Chemistry with vast experience in Biology and Entrepreneurship. Two years ago I co-founded a biotech company developing novel immuno-oncology drugs. We were the finalists of OneStart 2014 and raised a total of 700k€ of non-dilutive financing up to this point.

I worked with E.coli metabolic pathways which give the relationships among compounds and the conversion of a certain mass of precursor material to another mass of products during a particular time period such as GABA and Malic acid.
I also worked in the field of molecular biology with the bacterial two-component regulatory system, which serve as a basic stimulus-response coupling mechanism, allowing organisms to sense and respond to changes in many different environmental conditions.
Presently, I am working in project to determine the protein structure and function of some Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria for drug-designing.

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Biological Sciences under the A*STAR graduate scholarship in Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology. I got acquainted with life science entrepreneurship when I took a Bioentrepreneurship course at NTU LKC School of Medicine. I am a alumni of Singapore Stanford Biodesign Course Class of 2015. I am also a general committee member in the A*STAR Scholars Network that serves to organize social and professional activities among the A*STAR Scholars.

I am currently working on a specific gene polymorphism in T1 diabetes and utilizes a wide range of molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, FACS, genetic cloning and many others.

As a Ph.D. candidate close to graduation, I wish I can work at the intersection of biology and business in the future. So I believe biotech entrepreneurship will be a great platform for me to start my exploration in this field. My Ph.D. research gave me extensive training to establish my scientific expertise. My previous experience in several pro bono consulting projects and the pharmaceutical industry leveraged my business acumen and convinced me that I possessed the communication and teamwork skills to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
