I conducted research on cardiovascular disease and carbon nanotubes in high school, leading to my biomedical engineering research and thesis developing actuated cilia for artificial arteries to treat cardiovascular disease. Recognizing the gap between developing these innovative technologies and getting them to the patients who need them, I pivoted to business.

I spent 5 years is commercial strategy and operations consulting, where I worked across the payer, provider, life sciences, and other industries. My role spanned financial modeling, operations, business model development, strategy, design thinking, and more. I started a service offering within my firm, and grew a startup data analytics group over a year, where I managed teams and clients.

I completed my PhD in Computational Biology at King's College London in 2014, and I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in medical imaging. I use machine learning techniques to identify cardiac diseases from clinical MRI data. Additionally I have had 3 months part-time experience at a computer vision start-up and understand many of the challenges a new company faces. I believe that entrepreneurship used to translate biotech research into healthcare products is an incredibly valuable and challenging endeavour, and would gladly offer my skills in data analytics, strategy and communication to a team with a proposal ideally in medical imaging, but I am also open to related areas.

Through reaching the finals and creating an award winning business plan as MD for our company idea within the Biotech YES scheme, my insight into the biotech industry began. From then on, I have worked as an intellectual property fellow at UMIP, and as part of OBR's consultancy team being exposed to a wide array of scientific research, and the necessary and complex pathways through to commercialisation. As a scientist I enjoy understanding and analysing the research, but more recently, I have developed and transferred these skills for more commerce-oriented outcomes. I am a translational scientist, working on generating liver cells from stem cells. In part of my PhD project I am translating liver protocol in GMP (good manufacturing protocol) for future clinical trial.
Before starting PhD, I worked for 3 years as RA managing HIPSCs core facility in Cambridge University. HIPSCs are stem cells from adult tissue, in easy words I can take cells from your skin or blood and custom made stem cells for you. The work involved generation of iPSc for client lab, finishing on time, invoicing and maintenance of account etc. This was equivalent to running a small business.
As a cofounder I can bring my scientific and also my entrepreneur skills to your team. We could also discuss idea which I have (though I am sure about it).

I'm currently studying for my Masters Mechanical Engineering, and am also a prospective PhD student.

I have extensive experience in bio-medical engineering research, focusing on computational modelling of cardiovascular biomechanics, as well as cardiovascular medical device design. Specifically, my focus is in replacement aortic heart valves and optimization of the interventional surgical procedures in this area. This is the area in which I will be studying for my PhD, where I plan to explore the use of bio-3D printing in the manufacture of these devices.

I have a strong background in computational fluid dynamics, CAD, and am highly proficient in Python (including NumPy/SciPy and TensorFlow), C++, and MATLAB programming.
