All teams are advised to browse this hub to complement their teams with co-founders. One of our judging criteria will be the breadth of expertise within your team.

Belonging to a family of doctors, a biotech startup has always been my dream and ambition. Applying technology to bring healthcare to the masses has always been something I've dreamt of, and this something led me to work on designing mass-producible 3D printed prosthetics in my final semester.

I bring a mix of biology and mechanical engineering expertise to the table coupled with a sprinkle of management experience at my day job. I'm looking forward to explore creative means to contribute to the community and to the industry as a whole

Before starting my PhD in biomedical engineering at Cambridge, I received a BSc in genetics, a Msc in nanotechnology, and co-founded an e-health startup that raised €500k.

During my doctorate, I have been focusing on pathogen detection methods and on the development of diagnostic devices.

Concurrently with my PhD, I have also been working as a postgraduate mentor at Cambridge Uni, as head of business development for a local startup, and as project manager for OBR.

This is a great time for me to become a Onestart co-founder and apply my scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to help set up a successful startup. Feel free to contact me as I would be happy to discuss a potential collaboration.

I'm an entrepreneur-scientist with a microbial genomics, secondary metabolite biosynthesis, DNA sequencing, and molecular biology background. I'm experienced in the development of novel applications using computational biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, and genomic sequencing approaches, most recently as the Head of Experimental Genomics at Warp Drive Bio and currently as a member of the Genetics department and the Currie Lab at the University of Wisconsin. I have specific expertise and interest in translational microbial science, especially natural products biosynthesis, drug discovery, chemical ecology, and molecular engineering.

I have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and I am interested in Biotech entrepreneurship in London. Alongside my PhD I attended courses relating to business development, negotiations and opportunity identification. Moreover, I am following a 3 month internship at WSF, an Accelerator, at which I am gaining hands-on experience on the early stages of a start-up and I am helping WSF set up a health acceleration program. My passion for science, interest in cutting edge research and hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving are a combination that would allow me to translate scientific innovation from ideas to commercial reality and is something which I want to further develop. After obtaining a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology, I worked as a Health Policy Research Analyst for the Government of Alberta. In this position I applied my understanding of the broad, systemic issues impacting the health system in order to develop policies to achieve greater sustainability of the health system. I developed my knowledge of systems design thinking and appreciation for cross-sector collaboration. I am now studying Law at the University of Alberta. This formal education along with my experience working in the health system would enable me to make a strong contribution and bring a unique perspective.

My background is in Biology and Behavior, and I am currently in my final year of an Engineering Doctorate (EngD). My real passion is tech and I love to code. I know several languages and am able to produce complex dynamic websites and webapps, but am always keen to learn more.

I'm currently studying for my Masters Mechanical Engineering, and am also a prospective PhD student.

I have extensive experience in bio-medical engineering research, focusing on computational modelling of cardiovascular biomechanics, as well as cardiovascular medical device design. Specifically, my focus is in replacement aortic heart valves and optimization of the interventional surgical procedures in this area. This is the area in which I will be studying for my PhD, where I plan to explore the use of bio-3D printing in the manufacture of these devices.

I have a strong background in computational fluid dynamics, CAD, and am highly proficient in Python (including NumPy/SciPy and TensorFlow), C++, and MATLAB programming.

I was directly involved in implanting and maintaining highly successful and viable colonies of patient derived xenografts for both a commercial and academic customer. I am a very experienced IACUC member and will be able to consult on IACUC issues for faster approvals. I am involved and experienced in import/export issues for drugs, chemicals and laboratory animals. I have high-containment SABSL3 experience. I have volunteer experience in community health and disaster relief mobile clinics in developing countries.
