My educational background is a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I currently work at a small Biotech doing contractual studies with academics and major pharma. We have developed a humanized chimeric mouse model, where the liver of the mouse is repopulate over 90% with human hepatocytes. I have been involved in Designing, conducting and analyzing results in the fields of DMPK, Toxicity and virology for over 2 years. I am now getting involved in the business side of biotech-connecting people, technology and ideas. I am also responsible for designing the studies and presenting results at conferences. I am very eager to be part of a fresh startup Biotech - as I have the knowledge and skills required to move the teams ideas and goals forward.

I have always had an interest in understanding how biological processes are regulated and how they result in organism homeostasis. this had lead me to pursue a PhD in Life sciences and a subsequent Post-doctoral position. My research project was ‘Surface modification of electrospun nano/micro-fibrous (PLGA) scaffolds via photo-chemical treatment for tissue engineering applications’. During the course of this project, I have answered the challenge of polymer synthesis, fabrication of polymer into delivery vehicle through electrospinning, polymer-growth factor conjugation and studied growth factor release profile. In addition, I have studied the stability of growth factors in tissue engineering scaffolds. Simultaneously, I have acquired experience of material characterization techniques, microscopy techniques (inverted, phase contrast and fluorescence) and in-vitro cell study techniques.

As a combat veteran, I know what it takes to be part of a team, and I have a keen understanding of the issues facing veterans. My recently completed Fulbright research is a comparative policy analysis of American and Canadian veteran mental health care. Prior to that, I worked with MicroStrategy, SQL, and R to create forecasting algorithms, KPIs, and business intelligence dashboards for acute care facilities. I hold undergraduate degrees in Economics and Finance and a Master's in Mathematics. I am presently considering a PhD in Economics to continue my research.
