Co-founder hub

"OneStart is a colossal stimulus for university entrepreneurship at all levels from undergraduates to academic staff."

– Hagan Bayley, Co-founder of Oxford Nanopore

The OneStart Co-founder Hub gives you the chance to build your perfect team or join a biotech startup.

All teams are advised to browse this hub to complement their teams with co-founders. One of our judging criteria will be the breadth of expertise within your team.

If you do not have an idea of your own, but experience or skills that would be useful to a bio-entrepreneur, register now as a co-founder. Our goal is to link people with ideas with those who can help them realise it.

Send an email now to somebody below, and who knows, you might be picking up an oversized cheque with them in May 2016.

Biotech has always been something i have always wanted to do since childhood, technology as a whole has always fascinated and captivated me. Entrepreneurship is something i love, perhaps it is as a result of coming from entrepreneurship oriented family.

I have always wanted to focus my entrepreneurial goals in sectors like biotech, pharmaceuticals, cloud computing, software, robotics and artificial intelligence.

I believe i can be a great entrepreneur, i am willing to do anything to realise the success of a business. My greatest ability is the potential to learn new things.

I love biotechnology, companies like Gilead, Amgen, Juno therapeutics, Biogen who have devoted research to discover and defeat rare diseases have always inspired me.

I’m Kwan, a third year PhD student in biomedical science from Imperial College London. My project now is about the application of stem cells, besides, I have my Master degree in toxicology, from which I can provide some idea about the toxicity test. Since I’ve been working in academia for a while, I’m always interested in understanding how to put the finding in the lab into real market. So if you think I fit in your team, please feel free to contact me.

I'm a PhD student in Aston University at Ebri institute and I'm part of the Surface, Material and Catalysis group and I have developed skills in characterisation and synthesis of new materials, followed by their application. Therefore the knowledge I will bring is fundamental for this project. I'm interested in biotech because I know only a little about that.

Belonging to a family of doctors, a biotech startup has always been my dream and ambition. Applying technology to bring healthcare to the masses has always been something I've dreamt of, and this something led me to work on designing mass-producible 3D printed prosthetics in my final semester.

I bring a mix of biology and mechanical engineering expertise to the table coupled with a sprinkle of management experience at my day job. I'm looking forward to explore creative means to contribute to the community and to the industry as a whole
